Description
Black Moor Goldfish
A member of the Cyprinidae family, Black Moors are a variety of goldfish with a unique and characteristic appearance. They are sometimes alternatively known as telescope or bubble-eye goldfish on account of their protruding eyes.
Just like most other varieties of goldfish, this fish is prolific at creating waste. You must take special considerations to maintain optimal water quality with regular maintenance. They will benefit from having plenty of space and water to stay healthy. In addition to a fine gravel bottom or well-rounded river rocks, the Black Moor Goldfish will appreciate plastic or hardy, cold water live plants. Keep in mind that goldfish are diggers and will scatter the fine sand onto leaves, potentially damaging thin and less hardy plants. Like all fancy goldfish, maintaining water temperature above 18 degrees is recommended.

Ease of care
Easy. Very hardy like other varieties of goldfish, making them easy to maintain. Large fins can be quite susceptible to fungal disorders and white spot in poor quality water.
Diet
Omnivore - The main food we recommend would be tropical fish flake or Goldfish flake and small Pellets. Mixing in some live or frozen brine, or other fresh alternatives
can help enhance their health. They are slow-swimmers, so take care to ensure they are not out-competed for food by other tank inhabitants.
Compatibility
Community with other coldwater fish such as other fancy goldfish, Danios and White Cloud Mountain Minnows.
To view our Compatibility Advisory Chart please select the Additional tab above.
Breeding
There appears to be a definite courtship ritual when goldfish breed.
Breeding often results in up to 1,000 eggs, with fry hatching in five to
six days. They should be fed small pieces of live or prepared foods
designed for egg-laying fish.
Life Span
They can live to 5-10 years in perfect conditions.
