Do Nerite Snails reproduce asexually?

Although most aquatic snails reproduce asexually, nerite snails do not. A female nerite snail will produce eggs for the male to fertilise, like fish. The eggs will then be spread throughout the tank and develop into larvae.
Nerite snails are difficult to breed in captivity - the larval stage requires brackish conditions ideally. Click here to learn more about Brackish water.

Your statement here is incorrect. Zebra Nerite Snails will reproduce asexually. I just witnessed it. I have added nothing new to the tank for a year. I have a several year old tiger Nerite snail and I now have a baby one! It is following the momma around the tank.
