Polystichum Polyblepharum, also known as the Japanese Tassel Fern, forms a tidy clump of arching dark green, evergreen fronds with a glossy finish. The Japanese Tassel Fern grows best around ponds in damp, but not water-logged ground, in a sheltered position. Tidy old foliage as required. Polystichum Polyblepharum, the Japanese Tassel Fern is often grown for decoration around ponds and is very hardy, tolerating temperatures as low as −20 °C (−4 °F).
