What size Fish Net should I use?

Selecting a Fish Net

Every so often, a fish keeper may need to remove a fish from the aquarium, and will need at least one net for the task.

Fish nets are available in many different sizes, and should be purchased relative to the size of the tank, and not just the size of the fish.

The easiest way to catch a fish is to use two fish nets - a larger one which should be kept in readiness at one end of the tank, and a smaller one to be used to direct the fish towards it.

In garden ponds, longer-handled nets are required, and are available with telescopic rods and both fine and wide-holed netting.
