Buenos Aires Tetra
Buenos Aires Tetra are a lively, slightly aggressive fish that live in freshwater aquariums. The fish are very hardy so great for first-time fish keepers. They can be fin-nippers, so a little care must be taken when choosing co-inhabitants.The Buenos Aires tetra will thrive in tanks with plenty of space to swim.
The Buenos Aires tetra originates from its namesake, South America. They are found in South America in the La Plata region of Argentina, Paraguay, and southeastern Brazil where they are commonly found in rivers, ponds, lakes, and streams.

Ease of care
Easy. These warm water fish are great for hobbyist just starting to look after tropical freshwater fishes.
Diet
The main food we recommend would be tropical fish flake. Occasional live or frozen food can be given as a treat.

Community with no long fined fish.
Breeding/ Sex
Moderate. Egg layer. They have special requirements that will need to be researched. Males are more colourful and females are usually slimmer.
Life Span
They can live to anything from 3-5 years in perfect conditions.

In stock orders placed before 2pm will be despatched on the same working day (not including palletised items, pond plants or fibreglass ponds).
Pre-orders are shipped once we have the stock available and will be shipped using the service chosen at checkout.
