Paracheirodon axelrodi
Description
A captive-bred albino form of the cardinal tetra, keeping the red belly but replacing the blue stripe with a soft pink-white body. Luminous in a group against dark planting.
Feeding
Small flake, micro-pellets and frozen daphnia, cyclops and baby brine shrimp. A micropredator with a small mouth.
Compatibility
Peaceful community fish. Keep in groups of ten or more. Avoid large or boisterous tankmates.
Behaviour and personality
Shoals through the middle of the water column, growing bolder and better coloured with numbers.
Before you buy
Less tolerant of nitrate than most community fish and best added to a mature aquarium. As an albino form it is a little light-sensitive and appreciates floating plants or shade.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
