FeedingCarnivorous and voracious. Accepts live foods (small fish, shrimp, worms), frozen foods (bloodworms, krill), and high-protein pellets. Requires a protein-rich diet for healthy growth.
Tank MatesBest kept alone or with very large, robust species. Avoid smaller fish or invertebrates—they are likely to be eaten. A spacious tank with hiding spots helps reduce stress.
AggressionHighly territorial and predatory. Aggression toward smaller tank mates and conspecifics is natural unless housed in a very large, well-structured aquarium.
Experience LevelAdvanced. Requires secure, large aquariums with strong filtration, tight lids, and stable water conditions. Not suitable for beginners.
