Megalechis thoracata
Description
An armoured catfish plated in overlapping bony scutes, here in a pale albino form. Peaceful, hardy and considerably more characterful than most bottom-dwellers.
Feeding
Omnivorous. Sinking pellets, wafers and frozen foods. A vigorous, competitive feeder.
Compatibility
Peaceful toward fish it cannot swallow. Will eat small tetras and shrimp. Good with medium-sized community fish and larger cichlids.
Behaviour and personality
Active and inquisitive, working the substrate. Gulps atmospheric air at the surface, which is normal for the family.
Before you buy
Grows considerably larger than the corydoras it resembles and needs floor space. Extremely tolerant of poor conditions, which is not a reason to provide them.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
