Paracirrhites arcatus
Description
A perching hawkfish in warm orange-brown with a bright horseshoe arc behind the eye. Bold, characterful and constantly watching.
Feeding
Carnivorous. Frozen mysis, chopped prawn, clam and marine pellets.
Compatibility
Reef safe with corals but will eat ornamental shrimp, small crabs and very small fish. Territorial and increasingly bold with age.
Behaviour and personality
Perches on coral and rock propped on thickened pectoral fins, watching, then darts to take prey. Lacks a swim bladder, so it rests rather than hovers.
Before you buy
Hardy and easy, but it will clear a tank of ornamental shrimp and harass small peaceful fish as it matures. Add later in the stocking order.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
