Coradion altivelis
Description
A butterflyfish relative in cream with warm brown bands and a notably tall dorsal fin. Peaceful, uncommon and a sponge feeder.
Feeding
Feeds on sponge and small invertebrates in the wild. Requires sponge-based preparations, live blackworm, mysis and clam, several times daily.
Compatibility
Peaceful toward fish. Not reef safe - will pick at corals, tubeworms and clams.
Behaviour and personality
Cruises slowly, probing rockwork. Shy on arrival and slow to feed.
Before you buy
A sponge specialist, so the feeding requirement is the main obstacle. It needs a mature system with plentiful live rock fauna and patient, frequent feeding.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
