Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific region, primarily found around deep coral reefs and drop-offs in areas such as Indonesia, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea.
Feeding:
Planktivorous – feeds on zooplankton and small live or frozen foods. In captivity, provide frequent feedings of finely chopped mysis, brine shrimp, or other planktonic foods.
Tank Mates:
Best kept with peaceful community fish. Ideal for other anthias, reef-safe species, and mid-water schooling fish.
Aggression:
Non-aggressive – social schooling fish that do best in groups of 6 or more.
Experience Level:
Intermediate to advanced – requires a well-established aquarium with stable water parameters and consistent feeding.
