Best kept alone or with very large, robust species. Avoid small fish or invertebrates—they will likely be eaten. Requires ample space and hiding spots to reduce stress.

Highly predatory and territorial. Aggression toward smaller tank mates is natural; conspecific aggression is common unless the aquarium is very large.
