Channa andrao
Description
A small snakehead in iridescent blue-green with red fin edging, one of the most manageable members of a normally very large family. Intelligent and full of character.
Feeding
Carnivorous. Frozen bloodworm, prawn, mussel and earthworm, plus carnivore pellets once weaned. Do not feed live feeder fish or mammalian meat.
Compatibility
Predatory and territorial. Will eat any fish it can swallow. Best kept alone, as a pair, or as a group in a large heavily planted tank.
Behaviour and personality
Intelligent and watchful, quick to recognise its keeper. Breathes atmospheric air and must have unobstructed surface access.
Before you buy
A determined escape artist - the tank must be sealed completely, with no gaps around pipework. It also benefits from a cool winter period and stays far smaller than most snakeheads, which makes it one of the few suitable for a normal home aquarium.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
