The Scopas Tang is an herbivorous fish that requires a diet primarily consisting of marine algae and seaweed to maintain its health, coloration, and immune system. In the aquarium, it will graze on algae growing on live rock and can also be fed dried seaweed, spirulina, and other vegetable-based foods. This species is generally peaceful but can be semi-aggressive towards other tangs and fish with similar body shapes.
