Pterophyllum scalare
Description
A Bulgarian green line angelfish with a metallic green sheen and a red flush across the gill plates that deepens with maturity.
Feeding
Omnivorous. Quality flake and pellets, frozen bloodworm, brine shrimp and mysis.
Compatibility
Peaceful when young and increasingly territorial as adults, particularly once paired. Will eat small fish such as neon tetras and shrimp. Best with medium-sized calm tankmates. Keep as a group of five or more juveniles and let pairs form, or keep a single adult pair.
Behaviour and personality
Slow, deliberate and constantly aware of the tank. Pairs bond strongly and will defend a spawning site against everything else.
Before you buy
Needs a tall tank - a standard low aquarium will not accommodate the finnage properly. Sold at coin size and grows into a large fish that will eat anything small enough to fit in its mouth.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.
