Paracheirodon axelrodi
Description
The definitive shoaling tetra: an electric blue line above a full length of deep red, running the whole body rather than stopping halfway as the neon does. Best appreciated in serious numbers.
Feeding
Small flake, micro-pellets and frozen daphnia, cyclops and baby brine shrimp.
Compatibility
Peaceful community fish. Keep in groups of ten or more. Avoid boisterous tankmates and anything large enough to eat them.
Behaviour and personality
Shoals through the middle of the water column. Confidence and colour both improve substantially with numbers.
Before you buy
Prefers warmer, softer water than most community fish and is intolerant of nitrate. Add to a mature, stable aquarium; this is not a fish for a tank set up last week.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- In-stock livestock orders will be processed and dispatched for delivery on the date selected on the cart/basket page.
- Available delivery days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
- If any stock issues affect your chosen delivery date, we will contact you as soon as possible by email or telephone.
- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
