Balistoides conspicillum
Description
Unmistakable: a black body scattered with large white spots below and a yellow reticulated saddle above. One of the most striking marine fish, and one of the most aggressive.
Feeding
Carnivorous with hard-shelled prey. Whole prawn, mussel, clam, krill and squid. The powerful jaws need hard food to work on.
Compatibility
Not reef safe and not community safe. Extremely aggressive as an adult, and will kill tankmates. Usually kept alone.
Behaviour and personality
Bold, intelligent and highly interactive with its keeper. Rearranges rockwork and destroys anything loose.
Before you buy
This is an adult specimen and needs an enormous tank. Clown triggers become genuinely dangerous to tankmates and will bite during maintenance. It is a single-specimen fish for an experienced keeper with a very large system.

Free delivery when your livestock subtotal is over £350.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
