The Coloured Whip Fan Gorgonia is a stunning and graceful soft coral known for its vibrant hues—ranging from deep purple to orange, red, or yellow—and elegant, branching fan-like structure. Swaying beautifully in the current, this gorgonian adds striking vertical texture and motion to reef aquariums.

Native to the tropical Western Atlantic and Caribbean regions, Gorgonia species inhabit shallow reefs and lagoons, attaching to hard substrates in areas with moderate to strong water flow.

Most Gorgonia species are photosynthetic but also benefit from supplemental feeding. Provide phytoplankton, marine snow, or other fine coral foods several times a week to support growth and coloration. Maintain strong, indirect water flow to help deliver nutrients and keep the branches free of detritus.

Peaceful and reef-safe. Compatible with most reef fish, invertebrates, and corals. Avoid nippy fish (such as butterflyfish or angelfish) that may pick at polyps.
