Sargocentron diadema
Description
A red-and-white striped squirrelfish with large dark eyes built for night vision. Nocturnal, hardy and equipped with a sharp cheek spine.
Feeding
Carnivorous and nocturnal. Frozen mysis, chopped prawn, clam and marine pellets, fed in the evening.
Compatibility
Reef safe with corals but will eat ornamental shrimp and small fish. Peaceful toward larger tankmates.
Behaviour and personality
Hides among rockwork during the day and becomes active after dark. Can make audible clicking sounds.
Before you buy
Feed toward the end of the day, or it will not get its share. It has a sharp spine on the cheek, so handle with care, and it will eat any fish or shrimp small enough to swallow.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
