Corydoras CW107 Davidsandsi 4cm Catfish
Overview: The Corydoras Davidsandsi, also known as David Sands' Cory, is a captivating and peaceful freshwater fish. This species is admired for its unique, elongated snout and striking color pattern, typically featuring a silver body with a black stripe running along its back and through the eye. Reaching up to 2.5 inches in length, these social creatures are perfect for community aquariums.
Origin: Native to the Rio Tocantins in Brazil, Corydoras Davidsandsi thrives in soft, slightly acidic water. They are typically found in shallow, slow-moving waters with plenty of vegetation and a sandy or fine gravel substrate.
Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, they readily accept a variety of foods. A balanced diet should include high-quality sinking pellets or wafers, supplemented with live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Vegetables like blanched zucchini or cucumber slices can also be offered occasionally.
Tank Mates: Being peaceful and sociable, Corydoras Davidsandsi does well with other non-aggressive fish. Ideal tank mates include small tetras, rasboras, and dwarf cichlids. They enjoy the company of their own kind, so keeping them in groups of at least five will encourage natural behavior and reduce stress.
Aggression: This species is known for its peaceful temperament and poses no threat to other tank inhabitants. However, they should not be kept with large or aggressive species that may bully or harm them.
Experience Level: Suitable for beginners and experienced aquarists alike, Corydoras Davidsandsi is hardy and relatively easy to care for, making them an excellent choice for those new to fishkeeping.
