Hyphessobrycon amandae
Description
A tiny, glowing orange tetra that looks like a live coal drifting through planted tanks. Peaceful, undemanding and one of the best small fish available for a nano community.
Feeding
Very small foods. Powdered flake, crushed micro-pellets, frozen cyclops and baby brine shrimp.
Compatibility
Entirely peaceful and suitable for nano tanks. Keep in groups of ten or more. Excellent alongside shrimp, pygmy corydoras and other small tetras.
Behaviour and personality
Loosely shoaling, occupying the middle and upper levels. Colour intensifies markedly against dark substrate and dense planting.
Before you buy
Small enough to be eaten by many standard community fish, so choose tankmates carefully. Colour is heavily influenced by decor: pale in a bright bare tank, brilliant in a shaded planted one.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
