Pomacanthus imperator
Description
One of the great reef fish: horizontal blue and yellow striping with a black eye mask, in full adult colouration. The juvenile form of blue and white concentric rings looks like a different species entirely.
Feeding
Omnivorous with a sponge component. Angelfish preparations containing sponge, plus mysis, clam, dried algae and marine pellets, two or three times daily.
Compatibility
Not reef safe - will eat soft corals, clams, zoanthids and tubeworms. Territorial toward other large angels. Suits a large fish-only system.
Behaviour and personality
Deliberate and confident, cruising the tank and picking at rockwork. Adults have real presence.
Before you buy
This is a fully coloured adult, which means it is already large and needs an appropriately enormous tank from day one. Adults also acclimate less readily than juveniles, so quarantine and patient feeding matter.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
