Pseudomugil furcatus
Description
A small blue-eye with bright yellow forked tail lobes and yellow-edged fins, the males displaying almost constantly. Excellent in a planted tank.
Feeding
Small foods. Powdered flake, crushed micro-pellets, frozen cyclops and baby brine shrimp.
Compatibility
Peaceful. Keep in groups of eight or more with several males. Best with other small calm species.
Behaviour and personality
Males display to one another constantly with fins fully spread. Occupies the middle and upper levels.
Before you buy
One of the hardier and easier blue-eyes, and a good introduction to the group. Prefers slightly harder water than most small tropicals. A lid is advisable, as they jump.
