Origin:
Selective crossbreeding of Zhen Zhu (Pearl) lineage with red-enhanced Flowerhorn strains in Thailand and Malaysia, resulting in superior pearling and vivid color.
Feeding:
- Primary diet: High-quality Flowerhorn pellets designed for kok growth, color, and pearling.
- Supplements: Frozen krill, bloodworms, and shrimp to enhance color and condition.
- Feeding tip: Avoid overfeeding; their dense pearling and reds develop best with controlled portions 2–3 times daily.
Tank Mates:
Best housed alone. If kept with others, only pair with equally aggressive and large cichlids, and always in a very spacious tank.
Aggression:
Very aggressive and territorial. This strain exhibits the typical dominance of Flowerhorns, often attacking tank mates.
