Description
A translucent silver body crossed by a single glowing copper-orange stripe running nose to tail. Quietly beautiful, endlessly hardy and a sound choice for a first community tank.
Feeding
Flake, micro-pellets and small frozen foods. Undemanding omnivore.
Compatibility
Peaceful and reliable in a community. Keep in groups of eight or more alongside other small tetras, rasboras, corydoras and gouramis.
Behaviour and personality
Gentle mid-water shoaler, calmer than most tetras and rarely bothers anything.
Before you buy
One of the more forgiving tetras and a good choice for a recently matured aquarium. The orange stripe shows best under subdued lighting over dark substrate.
