Description
A robust Thalassoma wrasse from East Africa, the adults marked with a broad gold band across a deep blue-green body.
Feeding
Carnivorous. Frozen mysis, chopped prawn, clam and marine pellets, two or three times daily.
Compatibility
Reef safe with corals but will hunt ornamental shrimp and small snails. Fast, boisterous and assertive with age.
Behaviour and personality
Constantly swimming in open water. Adults carry a bold gold bar across a green-blue body.
Before you buy
Needs open swimming space and a sealed lid, as Thalassoma wrasses jump readily. Boisterous enough to unsettle timid tankmates.
