Tanichthys albonubes
Description
A golden, long-finned form of the classic white cloud, carrying flowing fins and a warm honey body. Hardy, undemanding and one of the few attractive species genuinely happy in an unheated room-temperature aquarium.
Feeding
Entirely unfussy. Quality flake, micro-pellets and frozen daphnia or bloodworm. Feeds readily at the surface and mid-water.
Compatibility
Peaceful and sociable. Keep in groups of six or more. Ideal for coldwater or subtropical community tanks; avoid pairing with tropical species that need consistently high temperatures.
Behaviour and personality
Active, always on the move, and displays constantly within the group. The long fins make the males' sparring particularly good to watch.
Before you buy
Tolerates a wide temperature range but does best cool. Kept permanently above 24°C the fish are shorter-lived. The long fins are more prone to damage, so avoid strong flow and fin-nipping tankmates.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
