Halichoeres leucurus
Description
A green-bodied Halichoeres wrasse with fine pink facial lines and a pale head. Hardy, active and a capable hunter of reef pests.
Feeding
Carnivorous. Frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and marine pellets. Hunts pests among rockwork.
Compatibility
Reef safe with corals but will eat ornamental shrimp, small snails and bristleworms. Useful against pest flatworms.
Behaviour and personality
Constantly active across the rockwork, burying in the sand bed to sleep.
Before you buy
Requires a deep fine sand bed to sleep in, and a sealed lid. Similar in habit and usefulness to the melanurus wrasse.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
