Pseudojuloides labyrinthus
Description
A deepwater pencil wrasse, the males marked with intricate maze-like green and pink patterning. Uncommon and delicate.
Feeding
Carnivorous. Frozen mysis and enriched brine shrimp several times daily, in a mature tank with a live pod population.
Compatibility
Reef safe with corals but hunts small invertebrates. Peaceful and easily outcompeted at feeding time.
Behaviour and personality
Works the rockwork constantly, burying in sand to sleep. Slow to settle.
Before you buy
A deepwater specialist that needs subdued lighting, a deep fine sand bed, a mature system and a sealed lid. Not suitable for a new or busy tank.
