Amphiprion latifasciatus
Description
A rarely offered clownfish from Madagascar, orange-brown with broad white bars and a deeply forked tail. Uncommon in the trade and priced accordingly.
Feeding
Marine pellets, flake and frozen mysis and brine shrimp. Captive-bred stock feeds readily.
Compatibility
Reef safe. Larger and more assertive than ocellaris clowns. Keep singly or as a bonded pair.
Behaviour and personality
Bold and territorial around a chosen host. The forked tail distinguishes it from most other clownfish.
Before you buy
One of the rarer clownfish species and largely available only as captive-bred stock. Grows larger than the common clownfish, so allow more space.
