Naso lituratus
Description
A large surgeonfish in grey with a black face mask, orange lips and bright orange-edged fins. Peaceful for a tang and genuinely impressive at size.
Feeding
Primarily herbivorous. Dried marine algae daily, spirulina foods and some frozen meaty food.
Compatibility
Reef safe and generally peaceful, though territorial with other Naso. Needs genuine swimming length.
Behaviour and personality
Cruises constantly and powerfully. Males develop trailing tail filaments with age.
Before you buy
Reaches 40 cm or more and is routinely sold at 8 cm. It needs a very large tank with swimming length, not just volume, and daily algae feeding.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
