Pethia conchonius
Description
A long-finned rosy barb with dark-tipped flowing fins, the males flushing deep red as they mature. Robust, active and happy in cool water.
Feeding
Flake, pellets and frozen foods, with vegetable content. Will graze soft plants.
Compatibility
Boisterous rather than aggressive, and will nip. Keep in groups of six or more with similarly robust tankmates. Not suitable with long-finned slow fish.
Behaviour and personality
Powerful, fast swimmers that use the whole tank. Males colour up hard when displaying.
Before you buy
Gets considerably larger than most shop specimens suggest and needs swimming length. Prefers cooler water and does poorly kept tropical year-round.

Free delivery when your livestock subtotal is over £350.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
