Loreto Corydoras Loretoensis 3cm Catfish

The Loreto Cory is an elegant and peaceful Corydoras species featuring a clean silver body tone accented by a distinctive dark lateral stripe. Active, social, and hardy, it makes an excellent choice for planted aquariums and peaceful community setups.

Native to Peru, particularly the Loreto region, where it inhabits soft, slow-moving tributaries with sandy bottoms and leaf litter.

Omnivorous and undemanding:

• Sinking Cory pellets and wafers
• Frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia
• Occasional live foods for conditioning
  Reminder: Offer sinking foods since Corydoras feed at the bottom.

Well-suited for peaceful community aquariums with:

• Small tetras and rasboras
• Peaceful dwarf cichlids
• Small livebearers
• Other Corydoras
• Peaceful loaches

Avoid: Aggressive, overly large, or boisterous fish that may stress them.

Extremely low. Like all Corydoras, they are social schooling fish and thrive best in groups of 6 or more.

Beginner to Intermediate. Hardy and adaptable, provided they have clean water and a soft substrate to protect their barbels.
