Origin:
Originating from Japan, metallic koi varieties are bred for their luminous scales and strong pigmentation. The Grade A classification reflects exceptional quality, clarity of colour, and refined body structure.
Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality, color-enhancing koi pellets as a staple, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.
Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.
Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, making it ideal for mixed koi ponds.
Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, thriving in well-maintained ponds with adequate space and stable water quality.
