Description
A lemon tetra line carrying a warmer orange body than the standard fish, with the characteristic black-and-yellow banded dorsal fin. Calm and long-lived.
Feeding
Flake, micro-pellets and small frozen foods.
Compatibility
Peaceful and reliable. Keep in groups of eight or more with other small tetras, rasboras and corydoras.
Behaviour and personality
Calm mid-water shoaler. Males display the yellow-edged fins to one another.
Before you buy
One of the longer-lived small tetras, often reaching five or six years. Colour shows best over dark substrate.
