Description
A pencil wrasse offered under an unfamiliar trade name, slender and brightly patterned in the manner typical of the genus.
Feeding
Carnivorous, feeding on small invertebrates. Frozen mysis and enriched brine shrimp several times daily, in a mature tank with live pods.
Compatibility
Reef safe with corals but hunts small invertebrates. Peaceful and easily outcompeted at feeding time.
Behaviour and personality
Works the rockwork constantly, burying in the sand bed to sleep.
Before you buy
The species needs confirming before listing. Pencil wrasses generally acclimate poorly, arrive thin, and need a mature system with a deep fine sand bed and frequent feeding.
