Nemateleotris decora
Description
A dartfish in soft grey with a purple-flushed head and violet-edged fins. More retiring than the red firefish and, to many eyes, the more beautiful of the two.
Feeding
Small meaty foods - frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and marine pellets - twice daily.
Compatibility
Reef safe and peaceful, though shyer than the red firefish. Keep singly or as a bonded pair. Needs calm tankmates.
Behaviour and personality
Hovers close to cover and retreats quickly. Takes longer to settle than the red firefish and may hide for the first week.
Before you buy
Jumps readily, so a sealed lid or mesh screen is essential. Provide plenty of rockwork with bolt-holes, and do not expect to see much of it for the first few days.
DX courier delivery is £29.95 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
