Coris formosa
Description
A large Indian Ocean wrasse, striking as a banded juvenile and becoming a powerful dark green adult approaching 60 cm.
Feeding
Carnivorous. Frozen prawn, clam, mussel and large marine pellets. Crushes hard-shelled prey with powerful jaws.
Compatibility
Not reef safe with invertebrates - eats shrimp, crabs, snails and urchins. Boisterous and destructive, moving rock and sand.
Behaviour and personality
Juveniles are orange-red with white bands; adults are dark green with fine spotting and a trailing tail. Buries in sand to sleep.
Before you buy
This is the key point: it reaches around 60 cm. It needs a very large tank with a deep sand bed, and it will excavate the aquascape. Not a fish for a standard reef.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
