Overview:
The Red Coral Goby is a tiny, striking reef fish with a bright red body marked with thin blue or purple stripes, giving it a vivid, eye-catching appearance. It is a true coral-dwelling goby, often residing within the branches of Acropora corals, where it finds shelter and establishes its territory. Known for its peaceful nature and symbiotic relationship with its host coral, this goby adds color and charm to nano and reef aquariums.

Origin:
Widespread throughout the Indo-Pacific, including the Red Sea, Australia, and Southeast Asia, inhabiting shallow coral reefs.

Feeding:
Omnivorous – feeds on zooplankton, small crustaceans, and micro-invertebrates. In captivity, it readily accepts frozen mysis shrimp, rotifers, copepods, and finely chopped seafood. Multiple small feedings per day are ideal.

Tank Mates:
Peaceful and reef-safe, suitable for community and reef tanks. Best kept with other non-aggressive fish. Avoid housing with large predatory species that may nip at it or its host coral.

Aggression:
Low. Territorial within its chosen coral but non-aggressive toward other tank inhabitants.

Experience Level:
Intermediate. Requires a reef tank with healthy Acropora or similar branching corals for natural shelter and territory.
