Nemateleotris magnifica
Description
A slender white-to-orange dartfish with an extraordinarily tall first dorsal spine that it raises and lowers constantly. Peaceful, reef safe and one of the best small marine fish available.
Feeding
Small meaty foods. Frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and quality marine pellets, fed twice daily.
Compatibility
Reef safe and entirely peaceful. Keep singly or as a bonded pair; unpaired individuals will fight. Easily bullied by boisterous tankmates.
Behaviour and personality
Hovers just above the rockwork facing into the current, darting into a hole at the first sign of trouble. Flicks the tall dorsal spine constantly.
Before you buy
A committed jumper. A tightly fitted lid or mesh screen is essential - jumping out is by far the most common cause of death for this fish. Needs a hole in the rockwork to bolt into or it will never settle.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
