Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis
Description
A deep red fairy wrasse from the Maldives, the males flushing to an extraordinary velvet crimson during display. Peaceful and superb in a reef.
Feeding
Planktivore. Frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and fine marine pellets, twice daily.
Compatibility
Reef safe and peaceful. Best as one male with several females. Can be intimidated by aggressive wrasses such as the six line.
Behaviour and personality
Swims constantly in open water above the rockwork. Males flash intense red display colour, most often in the late afternoon.
Before you buy
Fairy wrasses are committed jumpers and a sealed lid is essential. Unlike Halichoeres they do not bury in sand, so a deep sand bed is not required.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
