Pseudanthias bimaculatus
Description
A deep-water anthias in soft pink and gold, mature males developing elongated dorsal spines and a pair of dark flank blotches. Peaceful and best kept as a harem.
Feeding
Planktivore with a fast metabolism. Frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and fine pellets, three or more times daily.
Compatibility
Reef safe and peaceful. Keep as one male with several females. Needs calm tankmates that will not outcompete it at feeding time.
Behaviour and personality
Hovers in open water above the rockwork, feeding constantly from the water column.
Before you buy
Like all anthias, the feeding frequency is the deciding factor - fed once a day these fish waste away over a few months. Collected from deeper water, so they benefit from subdued lighting and plenty of shaded rockwork.
DX courier delivery is £20 per livestock order.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
