Ostracion solorensis
Description
A small boxfish, males in blue with fine dark scribbling and females dark with white spots. Charming, and carrying the toxin risk common to all boxfish.
Feeding
Omnivorous. Frozen mysis, clam, chopped prawn, marine pellets and dried algae, two or three times daily.
Compatibility
Peaceful and slow-moving. Not reef safe with small invertebrates. Cannot be housed with aggressive or nippy tankmates.
Behaviour and personality
Hovers and manoeuvres slowly on small whirring fins. Inquisitive and unafraid.
Before you buy
Like all boxfish, when severely stressed or dying it can release a toxin capable of killing every fish in the aquarium. Requires calm tankmates and very careful acclimation and transport.

Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum or maximum order value.
