With its unique appearance and algae-grazing habits, it serves as both a natural cleaner and a captivating invertebrate for mature reef aquariums.
OriginNative to the Indo-Pacific region, including tropical reefs and seagrass beds, Dolabella auricularia inhabits sandy and rocky substrates where it grazes on macroalgae.
FeedingPrimarily herbivorous, feeding on macroalgae and seaweed. Supplemental feeding with nori or other algae sheets may be necessary in aquariums with limited natural growth.
Tank MatesPeaceful and reef-safe, compatible with fish, snails, and other non-aggressive invertebrates. Avoid predatory species that may harass or eat the sea hare.
