Trigonostigma somphongsi
Description
A rare and delicate relative of the harlequin rasbora, coppery-orange with a fine dark lateral line. Once thought lost to the hobby, and still uncommon in the trade.
Feeding
Small foods only. Powdered flake, crushed micro-pellets, frozen cyclops and baby brine shrimp.
Compatibility
Peaceful and easily overwhelmed. Best in a species tank or with other very small, calm fish. Keep in groups of ten or more.
Behaviour and personality
Loosely shoaling in the middle levels. Shy in open water and much more confident with dense planting and cover.
Before you buy
Prefers soft, slightly acidic water and dislikes sudden changes. Not a beginner's fish, and not one to mix with anything boisterous.
