Pseudanthias pleurotaenia
Description
A deepwater anthias, the males in deep magenta with a distinctive pale square marking on the flank. Larger than most anthias and spectacular in a group.
Feeding
Planktivore with a fast metabolism. Frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and fine marine pellets, three or more times daily.
Compatibility
Reef safe and peaceful. Keep as one male with several females. Needs calm tankmates and low feeding competition.
Behaviour and personality
Hovers in open water feeding from the current. If the male dies, the dominant female changes sex to replace him.
Before you buy
Collected from deeper water, so subdued lighting and plenty of shaded rockwork help it settle. Like all anthias, once-daily feeding will slowly starve it.

Free delivery when your livestock subtotal is over £350.
Delivery is scheduled for your selected delivery date and typically arrives before 1pm.
There is no minimum order value.

- Shipping for dry goods is charged separately from livestock delivery and does not count towards the £350 free delivery threshold. Dry goods are dispatched according to our standard delivery policy.
