Description
A deeper-bodied anthias in soft pink with a red-marked dorsal fin on males. Larger and sturdier than most anthias.
Feeding
Planktivore with a fast metabolism. Frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and fine marine pellets, three or more times daily.
Compatibility
Reef safe and peaceful. Keep as one male with several females.
Behaviour and personality
Hovers in open water feeding from the current. Females change sex to male if no male is present.
Before you buy
One of the larger and more robust anthias, but the feeding requirement is unchanged. Buy a harem rather than individuals.
