The Two Spot Goby is considered a difficult fish to care for and is recommended for experienced aquarium hobbyists. This fish requires a minimum tank size of 10 gallons with a sandy substrate and a populated refugium. It is generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially towards its own kind, unless they are a mated pair.
