Overview:

Origin:
Native to slow-moving blackwater streams, peat swamps, and forested waterways in Southeast Asia, Betta miniopina inhabit soft, acidic waters enriched with tannins and leaf litter. Their natural environment enhances their coloration, behaviour, and overall well-being.

Feeding:
Carnivorous. Feed a varied diet of live or frozen foods such as mosquito larvae, bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp. Small high-protein pellets may be offered as a supplement. Feed once or twice daily in small portions.

Tank / Setup Requirements:

• Best kept in a species-specific or biotope-style aquarium
• Provide dense planting, leaf litter, driftwood, and shaded areas
• Gentle filtration with minimal water flow
• Male and female can be housed together with adequate space and hiding spots

Temperament / Aggression:
