Ostorhinchus cyanosoma
Description
A slender cardinalfish striped in bright orange-gold over a pale blue body. Peaceful and good in a small shoal.
Feeding
Carnivorous. Frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and marine pellets, fed toward the end of the day when the fish is most active.
Compatibility
Reef safe and peaceful. Best in a small group. Will eat very small shrimp and fry.
Behaviour and personality
Hovers quietly among branching coral and rockwork during the day, becoming more active toward dusk.
Before you buy
Largely crepuscular, so feed in the evening or it will not get its share. Calm tankmates suit it best.
